  what about this one in cuba?.

  there are too many many jw in cuba.... .

  communism is good for jw, the ban usually is not very strict, and for many people to become a jw is a good mental escape from the communist reality, and when communists say "you shoud not join jw" - its actually a promotion...... albert .

  Bluesbrother: yes its not bad compared to local standards....

  Funny they usually compare conditions in Cuba to Eusrope or US to show how poor they are, but in fact compared to other caribean or southamerican countries, they live pretty good in Cuba....

  Of course, 20 years ago they were receiving huge financial support from soviets and other communist countries and lived very very good.... so now the life standard did drop a lot....

  Anyone here trying to lose weight?

  i just noticed i've lost about 15 pounds and so i thought maybe now i'll actually try to lose the rest of this weight.

  i have about 20 or 25 to get to where i was when i got married.

  They "can give gifts on any day of the year"... But do they?

  how many times we had heard from jw (commenting on christmass, mothers day or bithdays) "they dont need a pecial day set to give gifts, because the can give it on any day" .... but whats your experience if you compare jw and non jw ... are they really giving?.

  my sons (7) example:.

  he has non jw grandparents: gets all kinds of gifts all the time, sweets, magazines, toys,.

  I was allways wondering, why they have to put in Kingdom Ministry reminder about tiping at restaurants during assemblies.... Isnt that obvius and everybody knows and does that??? Now I understand....

  just a thought on watchtower,Dec.1

  i was looking over the december 1 watchtower,the one for the public.on page 8 there is an article called the appointed time is near.is is a small article on all the events of the last days.all the scriptures.but not a word about 1914.i heard a while back that 1914 may just start to fade from the literature.did any one else see this article?.

  "Why the message about 1914 is not louder and louder year by year? Why such gradual decrease? Is it gradual new light from Jehovah?"

  she is 63 yrs old still a jw.. has shunned me for years.. she lives in montreal me in ontario... .

  last week i got the urge to send her a lovely card just to tell her i love her .
